What We Do

We are an independent, full-service market right in the heart of downtown Barre, Vermont. AR market has a great selection of fresh meat, fish, Vermont Salumi dry cured meats and sausage. Our knowledgeable staff can help you choose from our curated selection of wine & beer. We also carry an assortment of dairy products, produce, groceries and pantry staples, supporting local farms and producers as much as possible.

We strive to be the place where great food and community meet.

Barre’s Neighborhood Market

The store is attached to the Vermont Salumi dry cure plant, so naturally we feature the entire line, and have an Italian flare to what we do at the market. After opening the plant in 2019 there were a few thousand extra square feet on Main Street that seemed perfect for the small grocery store Barre had been wanting for so long. And with such a tradition of Italian immigrants and culture to the area it seemed like a match made in heaven.
